For comparison — a team portrait of California’s 1919 football team . . .

In the preceding post, you can see what UCLA’s first football team looked like.  For comparison purposes, here is a picture of Cal’s 1919 team, from the 1921 Cal yearbook Blue and Gold (published in 1920, and dealing with the 1919 football team, from what I understand):

The Berkeley team looks a little more “uniform” and a little more “posed” than the players in the S.B.U.C. photograph.  Also, I have the feeling that in 1919 UCLA’s equipment (and uniforms) situation was a little less certain than Cal’s.
